Our Mission

ACWM is a non-profit Christian ministry. Our primary goal is to be used by God as a vehicle to go into the highways and by-ways of our local communities and compel those there to come into an eternal relationship with Him through the salvation offered in Jesus Christ our Lord. (Matthew 22:9)

Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.”
Matthew 22:9

By networking with local churches, we seek to further the reach of the church, lifting up Jesus as the One and Only Savior of the world and leading women of all ages into a vital and growing relationship with Him. (Matthew 28:18-20)

…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…
Matthew 28:18-20

Through all forms of social media, seminars, on-line devotionals, etc, ACWM will assist the local church in communicating the goodness of Our Creator by evangelism, discipleship, and promoting the sanctity of life, Biblical marriage and family. (Deuteronomy 6:4-12)

…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart…And these words you shall teach diligently to your children…talk of them when you sit…walk…lie down…and rise. You shall bind them on your hand…
Deuteronomy 6:4-12

To that end, we trust solely in the sovereignty and direction of our Living God. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Thank you for stopping by. It is my prayer that we may meet you at one of our events one day. We appreciate your comments, feedback, and questions.

I am 3 months older than my BFF, but I don’t look it. I LOVED diet coke with LOTS of ice but that was before The Daniel Plan by Rick Warren. Now I drink water with LOTS of ice. When we have a nice summer in Alaska I have trouble deciding whether to go camping or to work in my garden. Usually camping wins. I love cooking with my granddaughters.

My passion is meeting new women, encouraging them, and turning them to Jesus. I am very thankful for 1. God’s provision and protection, 2. His mercies are new every morning, and 3. His understanding is unlimited. Alaska Christian Women has been a “dream” in the making for almost 10 years. I just didn’t know what it was going to look like, but God did. I am excited to see what He has in store for the women of Alaska.

I am a life-long Alaskan who has a zest for adventure, people, and Jesus doing BIG things. My husband and I spent our first two years of marriage overseas in Indonesia, teaching at an international school. Now we’re back in Alaska, busy being teachers in local public schools, hiking mountains, and loving on our students and neighbors. No “littles” of our own yet, but I call my 120 middle schoolers “my kids,” and if going to their music concerts is foretelling of what my future holds, I will be THAT parent who is a weepy mess whenever her children do anything that requires hard work, discipline, and bravery. I have an affinity for coffee, pretty dishes, Juanita’s tortilla chips, good literature, organizing closets, and people overcoming. I am honored to write for this blog, and I love the opportunity it presents for me to discipline myself on a weekly basis to reflect on God’s work in my life.

Rosalynn Lasley

Devotion Author

Rosalynn is a life long Alaskan who doesn’t mind the snow and cold, but that’s because she’s generally inside. She thinks heaven on earth is snuggling a baby (extra heavenly if they are asleep, or too little to try to get away) or sitting around a camp fire with good company. She is very witty, talks incredibly fast, and can find humor in just about anything. She has a big tender heart, and is a firm believer that no one should cry alone.
Rosalynn is happily married to her high school sweetheart (has been for over a decade now) and knows that the more she sees her husband fall in love with the Lord, the more she falls in love with her husband. They have two daughters that they love beyond measure, and are hoping to continue expanding their family as God allows.
Rosalynn and her husband have recently gotten involved with the junior high ministry at their home church and are delighted to have a hand in helping young people grow in the Lord. As they teach and serve these young people together, they find themselves growing so much in their walk with the Lord.

I’m a mom and a blogger. I grew up in church but my family didn’t live a Christian life. It wasn’t until 5 years ago that I opened a Bible to read it for myself. Now that I know Jesus personally, I am trying to become the woman He wants me to be. I’m active in my church and hope my blogs inspire women to love God.

I have been married to my fun-loving husband for 16 years. We have three cute kiddos that challenge and reward us. When I’m not prepping meals, washing mountains of laundry, and keeping up with the kids, I teach piano at my home studio. To recharge, I read LOTS of books, enjoy photography with the family, and sort through life’s challenges by writing.

Even though I grew up in church, I still have much to learn. God is a patient, fun, and challenging teacher. He gently leads me from one unfolding truth to another. My Friday blogs are a work-in-progress diary of the many lessons God has been teaching me.
