It’s Never Too Late!

We face so many obstacles in our lives.  We never know what we are going to face sometimes.  One thing is for sure; it’s never too late to seek Jesus.  He is our guide, our strong one, our healer, our comforter, our deliverer, and our Almighty God.
Trust in Jesus there is so much power in His name.  I know when I began to say his name, I was embarrassed.  I didn’t know how to ask for help.  In fact, I felt bad for asking for His help.  When I began to witness other people saying His name with such confidence and such admiration, I began to try out saying His name.
I never grew up in a family that would say His name on a daily basis or in general.  I did grow up in a family that believed that Jesus is the Son of God, but prayer consisted of saying grace or repeating memorized prayers.   Let me be clearer, I never had a conversation with Jesus.  I didn’t know how to.
Overtime, He began to break the walls around me and show me just how easy it is.  He gave me the desire to learn, to be a witness to other’s love for Him, and to try it out.  Slowly I began saying His name.  I began to read the Bible, which at first was very difficult.  My friend invited me to join a Bible Study.  I then joined a Life Group at my church, and over time my prayers began to flow into ongoing conversations with Jesus.  Now, I cannot imagine life without a conversation with Him.
He desires us.  He wants so desperately for us to seek Him, to want to get to know Him.  We are worthy of His Love.
Whatever you have done, whatever you have been through, you are worthy of His love.   He is a loving and strong Father; a Father that continues to teach and love us through our hardships.  He is our Father, who won’t leave us.   He may walk patiently beside us, He may have to carry us, or He may have to pick us up and dust us off so we can try something again and again until we get it right.  One thing is for sure, it is never too late to seek His love, seek His forgiveness, seek His healing, and seek His fortress.
My prayer for you is to try something out of your comfort zone when it comes to prayer.  Write in a journal, pick a verse in the Bible to learn more about, go on a walk and have a conversation with Jesus, pray with a friend, or ask Him to show you something new.
My prayer Journal entry for today:
My hope is in You Lord, all day long.  I find rest in You.  Thank you for this wonderful life.  It hasn’t been easy at times, but You have always been there.  I am so thankful to You and I give You all the Glory.  You know what each and everyone of us needs.  Thank You for moving mountains that we thought couldn’t be moved.  Thank You for the constant lessons to teach each of us about love, self-control, pride, forgiveness, grace, and mercy.  Please help me Lord to show others what Your love is all about.  I also need help with self-control to determine what is acceptable for accountability and setting boundaries with others, instead of casting judgment.  In Your name, I give this day to You, Jesus!  Love, Erin

“For you are my Rock and my Fortress; Therefore,  for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.  Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,  For You are my strength.  Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Lord God of Truth.
